Salim Kumar

                                       
Salim Kumar is a gifted versatile actor who entered Malayalam film field as a comedy actor and  amazed all film viewers by obtaining the National Award for Best Actor for portraying a serious role marvelously well.His diversified abilities was first detected by Director Lal Jose who gave him the protagonist role of the Malayalam film 'Achanurangatha Veedu' in which he had to display much emotional expressions.Salim Kumar was successful in that first attempt to act as a serious character and the critics commented that by this role he graduated from a comedy artist to a mature artist.He again acted as serious characters in many other films such as Perumazhakkalam,Gramaphone Adaminte Makan Abu and so on.
                                                      
                              
Salim Kumar was born at Northen Paravur to parents Gangadharan and Kausalya on 10th October 1969.He is a B.A.graduate and was a student of Maharajahs College,Ernakulam.He was a mimicry artist while as a student itself and recipient of prizes at University level.After his studies he was engaged in mimicry stage shows and worked as a sales executive for a short period.He used to appear in comedy shows on T.V.during that period and was one of the artist along with Dileep,Nadirshah etc in the T.V. Comedy show 'Comicola' thereby becoming familiar to TV audience before entering films.
His debut movie was 'Ishtamanu Nooru Vattam'.His unique style of comedy presentation was liked by the audience and he became a top comedy actor by presenting excellent comedy sequences in films such as 'Naranathu Thampuran,My dear Karadi,Thenkasi Pattanam,Mattupetti Machan,Ee Parakkum Thalika,Meesa Madhavan' and so on.
                               
In 2006 Lal Jose handed over with confidence the Protagonist role of the film 'Achanurangatha Veedu'  to Salim Kumar  by distinguishing his  acting capabilities to portray any type of roles.The stress and emotions of a father who was in search of his disappeared youngest daughter was manifested brilliantly by him and received Kerala Government Award for second Best Actor.He also received 'Sathyan Award,Bharathan Award etc for the role of 'Achanurangatha Veedu'.Serious roles of films Gramaphone,Perumazhakkalam and the role  in a segment of 'Kerala Cafe' were well appreciated by Critics and viewers alike.
His character formation in the title role  as 'Adaminte Makan Abu' was spellbound.He literally transformed as 'Abu', a poor perfume seller and a devout person whose only ambition was to go for a Hajj pilgrimage.His efforts and struggle to fulfill this wish is portrayed excellently by Salim Kumar and he got National Award as Best Actor.Best Actor Award for this character was also given to him by Kerala Government, Asianet Awards,South Indian Int'l movie awards,Filmfare Award(South),Amritha Awards,Jai Hind TV,Prem Nazir Award and so on.
                         
                                      
In 2005 he received Best Comedy Actor Award from Asianet Awards for the film 'Annan Thampi' and in 2013 he got Best Comedy actor award from Kerala Government for the film 'Ayalum Njanum Thammil' for the portrayal of the character Thomachan.
He married Sunitha and they have two sons- Chandu and Aromal.

Meera Jasmine

                               
Meera Jasmine is a highly popular South Indian Film Actress who hails from Kerala and has acted in large number of Malayalam films. She has also appeared in several Tamil,Telugu and Kannada films as well.She is one of the top  heroine actress in this field  for the last fifteen years and has grabbed National Award as Best Actress also.Meera Jasmine entered into the hearts of Millions of film goers in 2001 as the female lead of the film 'Soothradharan' written and directed by A.K.Lohithadas.The young ravishing beauty who possessed  precocious acting and dancing skill and  portrayed  all  type of roles with amazing perfection and repletion rose to the top position soon.

Meera Jasmine was born at Kuttapuzha in Thiruvalla Taluk of Pathanamthitta District to parents Joseph and Eliyamma as 'Jasmine Mary Joseph'.She studied at Thiruvalla Marthoma Residential School and passed Higher Secondary Course. She  joined at Assumption  College, Changanacherry for B.Sc Zoology degree course.While studying as a first year student at the college she got chance to act in the film 'Soothradharan' as the female lead opposite Dileep.Kalabhavan Mani,Salim Kumar were also there in well noted roles.Meera's character as 'Shivani' was portrayed exceptionally well by her.That film was well accepted by the audience and she got several other offers.
                          
'Gramaphone' directed by Kamal was a success and it was followed by a blockbuster film 'Swapnakoodu' which was also directed by Kamal.In that film Meera Jasmine and Bhavana were the female leads and Pritviraj,Jayasoorya and Kunchacko Boban were the male leads.The acting talent and smartness of Meera in this film was well appreciated.
Kasthuriman was also a critically acclaimed film which was written and directed by Lohithadas for which she received award from Filmfare Awards South.
Paadam Onnu Oru Vilapam was released in 2003 which earned her much appreciation,awards and accolades.The film directed by T.V.Chandran received National Award as Best Film on family welfare.Meera Jasmine got National Award as Best Actress.She received Best actress award from Mathrubhumi Awards,Asianet Best Actress Award,National Film Academy award,Kerala Film Audience Council Award,Kerala Government Film Award and many more for her superb acting skill  that portrayed the main female character 'Shahina' a 15 year old unsullied and innocent school girl who suffers a lot in this film.
In the film 'Perumazhakkalam' she depicted the character Razia with excellence.Kavya Madhavan also acted in an equally important role in this film along with her.Dileep was the male lead and others were Vineeth, Biju Menon etc.
In the film 'Rasathanthram'(2006) directed by Sathyan Anthikkad, she again amazed the audience by her acting talents.As part of the role she had to act  disgusting as an young boy which she handled












nicely.Mohan Lal was the hero of this film.Bharat Gopi,Innocent,Oduvil Unnikrishnan etc were the other actors.
During these years she used to act in many Tamil,Telugu and Kannada movies as well.
She got Tamil Nadu Government Film Award as Best Actress for the Tamil film 'Kasthuri Maan'.She is also recipient of 'Kalaimamani Award' from Tamil Nadu Government.
She acted opposite Dhanush in 2007 in the film Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram.Madhavan was her hero in some Tamil and Telugu films.She acted opposite top heroes in many Telugu films which were hits and super hits.
Ore Kadal was a critically acclaimed Malayalam  film of 2007 which received several National and International recognition.It was exhibited at several film festivals globally.Shyama Prasad directed this film in which Mammootty and Meera Jasmine were the leads.
Her role in the film  Calcutta News directed by Blessey also earned nice reviews.
Onnum Mindathe was a Malayalam film  released in 2014 in which Jayaram,Meera Jasmine,Narain,Ajmal etc acted.

Lakshmi Gopalaswamy

                                      
Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is a popular South Indian film actress and an exponent of 'Bharatanatyam' Classical Dance.Even though she hails from Bangalore,Karnataka State, she debuted in a Malayalam film and acting predominantly in Malayalam Language.In 2015 she has acted in the lead role of a Hindi film also.She has worked in several Kannada and Tamil films as well.
                             
Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is the daughter of Gopalaswamy and Dr.Uma from Bangalore.She is a Post Graduate Degree holder and while as a student received several prizes in dance competitions.Her younger brother is a Scientist.
                                
She debuted in Malayalam by the film 'Arayannangalude Veedu' directed by A.K.Lohithadas in 2000.Mammootty was the male lead of that film which was a big hit and received much appreciation from the audience and critics.Lakshmi Gopalaswamy received Kerala State Film Award as the second Best actress for that film.She also received 'Asianet film award' as the Best New face for the role in that film.Her next Malayalam film 'Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal' directed by Sathyan Anthikkad was also a super hit film in which Jayaram was the hero.The role she depicted in that film was as  a Classical dancer who when gets award and fame starts to  ignore  her husband and child.It was a novel theme which drew much attention from the critics and viewers.Her classical dances were also included in the film which were liked by the viewers.
                               
She acted along with  Mohan Lal in many films like 'Vamanapuram Bus route', 'Keerthi Chakra', 'Paradeshi','Bhagawan','Shikkar','Oru Arabikkadha','Ividam Swargamanu','Alexander the Great'etc.
The Kannada film in which she acted opposite the super star Vishnu Vardhan 'Aptharakshaka' in 2010 became a blockbuster film which was the last film of the 'Superstar Vishnu Vardhan'.Lakshmi Gopalaswamy received much accolades for her performance in this film which was directed by P.Vasu.She depicted a Bharatanatyam dancer 'Saraswathy' in this film which also contained her dance sequences.Sandhya,Bhavana,Vimala Raman etc also acted along with her in this film.
She was the female lead opposite Mohan Lal in the award winning film 'Paradeshi' directed by P.T.Kunju Muhammed.She received best Supporting actress award for her performance in this film from 'Filmfare (South) Awards'.
She received Kerala State film award for second Best actress for her performance in the film 'Thaniye' written and directed 























 by Babu Thiruvalla in 2007.
In the year 2007 she was the female lead of the film 'Paranju Theeratha Viseshangal' in which Suresh Gopi was the hero.Harikumar directed this film.
In the film 'Oru Indian Pranaya Kadha' she acted along with the lead pair 'Fahadh Fazil and Amala Paul.Sathyan Anthikkad directed this film in which she depicted the role of ' Thulasi' an Ayurvedic Doctor who owned a hospital and who was the real mother of 'Irene Gardner' the character of Amala Paul.
In the hit film 'Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla' she acted as the wife of Dr.Nanda Gopan (Mukesh).The character 'Mathai' portrayed by Jayasoorya resolves the problems between the Doctor and his wife.
Lakshmi Gopalaswamy has acted in T.V.Serials also.She appeared as judge of a dance reality show on   Asianet.
