Indrans

Indrans is a top comedy actor of Malayalam Cinema who has also worked as costume designer in several films for about fifteen years.As a comedy actor he is well liked by the audience and his thin body structure and typical style of dialogue presentation along with his unique mannerisms were all well accepted.He entered film industry as a costume designer and started to act in comedy roles soon and rose to popularity very fast.
Indrans is an expert tailor and had his own tailoring shop at Trivandrum.His real name is K.Surendran and 'Indrans' was his shop name.During the 80's one man from a film unit hired one of his sewing machine.When it was not returned in time he visited the film unit several times and had the opportunity to make friendship with many of the actors and film unit members.Thus he got chance to work as Costume designer for another  film 'Choothattam' in the year 1981.In the titles  the name of the costume designer was shown as 'Indrans' which was the name of his tailoring shop which eventually became his screen name when he started acting also.He had the experience of acting on stage for some dramas and so when he was offered roles in films he had no hesitation to accept them.His unique style of acting was well appreciated and he got many other roles after 'Choothattam'.
He acted in films such as 'Aparan,Azkikkoru Muthu,Dhanam,Aadharam' etc in small roles and was busy as a costume designer along with acting.As a costume designer he worked from 1981 to 1997 in many films such as 'Choothattam,Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal,Sarvakalasala,SeasonInnale,Malayogam,Njan Gandharvan,Ayalathe Addeham,Bhagyavan,Sphadikam,Kalyana Unnikal' etc.
His role as a salesman and video assistant in the film 'Ayalathe addeham' (92) in which he acted along with Jayaram,Siddique,Jagathy etc was very much liked by the audience and boosted his image as a comedy actor.
Subsequently  he was very much appreciated for his role in the film C.I.D.Unnikrishnan B.A.B.Ed. The role in the film 'Manathe Kottaram'  was a superb comedy character which was also well appreciated. Success of these films earned him much name and fame as a comedy actor of par excellence  and he became an essential part of Malayalam cinema.
Many of his comedy roles are unforgettable and roles of the 90's are also still watched by the audience.
His role in the film 'Mannar Mathai Speaking' (95) as the character 'Ponnappan' was well liked by the audience.His search for a new heroine for the drama troupe 'Urvashy Theaters'   aroused roaring laughter in the cinema halls.Indrans acted along with Janardhanan,Harisree Asokan,Cochin Haneefa,Machan Varghese etc in the comedy scenes of this film.
In the film 'Aniyan Bava Chettan Bava' (95) he had nice comedy scenes along with Prem Kumar.His character 'Balan' using a faulty tape recorder for the recording of  an important  conversation was an excellent comedy scene of this film.
His role as 'Basha Surendran' in the film 'Three Men Army' (95) was also very much liked by the audience. 
He earned much accolades and appreciation for his role in the film 'Pattabhishekam' (99) in which he acted along with Jayaram,Jagathy,Mohini,Harisree Asokan etc.
Indrans acted in films of all main stream directors of Malayalam cinema and acted along with all prominent actors and actresses of this language  for more than three decades.
He could also act in films of Internationally known  directors like Adoor Gopalakrishnan,P.Padmarajan,T.V.Chandran,Shaji N.Karun etc.












He is still active in films and has acted in films like 'Oru Second class Yathra' in 2015.In his acting career he has acted in more than 250 films.
He got married in 1985 and his  daughter is a dentist and son is an M.B.A Degree holder.

Sreelatha Namboothiri

Sreelatha Namboothiri is a well famous Malayalam actress who is in the acting profession for a long span of about fifty years.She has acted as a child artist in the Malayalam film 'Aashadeepam' in the year 1953.Her entry as a mature artist of films was in the year 1967 for the film 'Khadeeja'.
Sreelatha was born to parents Balakrishnan Nair and Kamalamma at Karuvatta in Alappuzha district.Yesteryear actress Kumari Thankam is her father's sister.Sreelatha entered K.P.A.C Drama troupe as a singer while she was a high school student and soon started to act on stage.In the year 1967 she got chance to act in the film 'Khadeeja' and since she got other offers continuously from films she chose to act in films rather than on stage.
She used to appear in supporting roles during the early stages of her acting career mostly as the close  friend or sister of the heroine.Adoor Bhasi, the top comedy actor of those period realized her skill to portray comedy roles and made her his pair in large number of films.In many CID type films and other entertainment type  films of directors like Sasikumar,A.B.Raj,Crossbelt Mani etc, Prem Nazir used to be the hero and Adoor Bhasi his close friend.In CID type films Nazir would be the detective and Bhasi his assistant.Bahadoor also was included along with Adoor Bhasi. 
The trio, Adoor Bhasi,Sreelatha and Bahadoor created comedy ideas and scenes  by  themselves and  performed nice comedy   to amuse the audience in numerous films.In that period it was the duty and task of the comedy actors to create the comedy scenes to be performed in the film  by themselves.In CID type films Adoor Bhasi,Sreelatha and Bahadoor used to act like fools to find out and reveal the secrets of the culprits which in turn became excellent comedy sequences.
Actress Meena used to act as mother of Sreelatha in such kind of films and she was also capable of playing comedy roles effectively well like Sreelatha.There are numerous unforgettable comedy scenes portrayed by this team in large number of films of the 70's.Sreelatha was also a playback singer in Malayalam films during the 70's who sung many songs out of which some are still popular.She sang comedy songs also along with Adoor Bhasi for certain films and the song like "Angadi marunnukal njan cholli tharam Oronnay" were very much liked by the audience.
Sreelatha underwent classical music training from the famous music composer and classical music exponent Dakshina Murthy.She has performed several classical music concerts and earned name and prestige in that field also.
She married Ayurvedic Physician Dr.Kalady Namboothiri and settled as a housewife at kunnamkulam near Guruvayoor in the early 80's but was still appearing in films occasionally.Her husband Dr.Namboothiri was also an occasional actor who appeared in films like 'Hridayam Oru Kshetram' died in the year 2005, and after his death Sreelatha Namboothiri again became active in films.She  acts in T.V. serials also and at present acting in serials like 'Karutha Muthu' on Asianet Channel.
At present she is acting character roles in films and in recent years has acted in films such as 'Poppins,Ladies and

















Gentleman,Nadodimannan,Vishudhan,Varsham' etc.
Sreelatha Namboothiri is having two children and she is presently living in Thiruvananthapuram.

Kunchacko Boban

Kunchacko Boban is a romantic hero of Malayalam films  who has got excellent acting skills and is loved by all audiences.He is the grandson of the late  eminent producer and director M.Kunchacko who established the first full fledged film studio of Kerala 'Udaya Studios' at Alappuzha in the year 1947.At Udaya Studio M.Kunchacko  produced large number of quality films in Malayalam and Kunchacko himself  directed 40 films out of which several films were super hits.In 1951 another film studio by the name 'Merryland Studios' was set up at Trivandrum by P.Subramanyam who made 69 films and out of these 59 were directed by P.Subramanyam himself.A professional competition was prevailed between these two producers which ultimately helped the viewers to enjoy nice films produced by them.
After the death of Kunchacko his son Boban Kunchacko handed over Udaya Studios and he also produced a few films and directed films like 'Sanchari,Palattu Kunjikkannan,Aazhi' etc.Later outdoor shooting was largely utilized and film studios turned to be practically useless.
M.Kunchacko's younger brother Appachan also set up a studio by name 'Navodaya Studios' later and he also produced some good films in Malayalam.The first 70 mm film and 3 D film in Malayalam were produced by Navodaya Studios.
Kunchacko Boban is born on November 2, 1976 as the son of Boban Kunchacko and Molly Kunchacko.He studied at S.D.College Alapuzha and after his degree Course   he was made the lead character of the film 'Aniyathi Pravu' by director Fazil in the year 1997 when he was only 21 years old.Shalini was the heroine of this film and it was a big success.The film was produced by Sargachitra Appachan.It was about the love affair of two college students Sudheesh Kumar and Mini who belonged to two different communities.
Following the success of that film he was cast in films like 'Nakshtratharattu, Mayilpeelikkavu,Prem Poojari,Ingane Oru Nilapakshi,Sahayathrikakku Snehapoorvam' etc. which were all well  accepted by the audience.
Nakshtratharattu was directed by N.Shanker in 1998 in which Shalini was Kunchacko's pair and he acted as a photographer while Shalini portrayed a model.
Prempujari, directed by Hariharan was a romantic comedy film.
In the year 1999 the romantic film 'Niram' which was directed by Kamal was a huge hit.Shalini was the female lead of this film also which contained beautiful songs.This film was remade in Tamil,Telugu,Kannada and Hindi.

Dosth was the story of two college friends Vijay (Kunchacko Boban) and Ajith (Dileep).Thulasidas directed the film in which Kavya Madhavan was the female lead.
Sathyan Anthikad directed the film 'Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka' which was written by Sreenivasan.The film was a critical and commercial success.Popular actress Asin was the heroine and this was her debut film.
Swapnakoodu was a super hit film directed by Kamal in the year 2003 in which Prithviraj,Jayasoorya,and Kunchacko Boban acted in equally important roles.Meera Jasmine and Bhavana acted as female leads.This film was a big commercial success.
In the film Lollypop of 2008, Kunchacko Boban,Prithviraj,Jayasoorya Bhavana and Roma acted in the main roles.The film was directed by Shafi.
Kunchacko Boban,Bhama,Urvashy,Saikumar,Suraj Venjaramoodu etc acted in the comedy film 'Sakudumbam Shyamala' directed by Radhakrishnan Mangalathu in 2010 which was a successful film.
Seniors was also a hit film in which Kunchacko Boban,Biju Menon,Jayaram,and Manoj K.Jayan acted in main roles.This mystery comedy film was released in 2011.
Sevens was a sports action film directed by Joshy in 2011 in which Kunchacko Boban,Nivin Pauly,Asif Ali,Aju Varghese,Bhama etc acted.

In the super hit comedy theme  film Ordinary he acted as a KSRTC bus conductor and Biju Menon as a driver.
Romans was a comedy suspense thriller of 2013 in which Kunchacko Boban,Niveda Thomas and Biju Menon portrayed key roles.
In the same year 2013, Visudhan was  directed by Vysakh in which Kunchacko Boban acted as Fr.Sunny and Mia George as Sister Sophy.
In the film 'How Old Are You' directed by Roshan Andrews in 2014, Manju Warrier,Kunchacko Boban,Kanika and Lalu Alex were in lead roles.The film was remade in Tamil as '36 Vayathinile' with Jyothika as the female lead.
His spouse is Priya Ann Samuel.
