Innocent

                                  
Innocent is an actor with unparalleled, wonderful versatile acting skills in the Malayalam Cinema who has depicted very large number of Supporting roles and Character roles brilliantly for the last four decades.He has also acted in a few Kannada,Tamil and Hindi films as well.This extrovert personality is also a politician and at present  is the Lok Sabha Member of the Chalakkudi Constituency in Kerala.He has also served as the President of the Malayalam Movie Artistes Association (AMMA) for 12 years.In the 80's he was a producer of a few Malayalam films also.
It is a blessing for the viewers of Malayalam Cinema to get such an actor with immense  humor sense who is excessively brilliant to portray characters with a comedy touch.He has played numerous comedy characters effectively well which always makes the audience exultant and  at the same time he could handle serious roles also quite nicely.The repletion of the characters happens always because of Innocent's shrewdness to display the exact emotional expressions and movements most suited for that particular character. His unique mannerisms, the style and accent of his Malayalam dialogue delivery,face expressions which displays any type of emotions fantastically well  are all his best  qualities loved by the audience and always receives accolades.
                            
Innocent was born at Irinjalakkuda in Thrissur District on February 28, 1945.Before entering film field  in 1972 by the film 'Nrithasala' he was a businessman.He got established as a supporting actor by acting in films like 'Urvashy Bharathy(73),Nellu(74),Randu Penkuttikal' and many more.
In 1981 he produced the hit film 'Vida Parayum Munpe' which was directed by Mohan in which Nedumudi Venu and Prem Nazir acted in lead roles.That film received the second Best film Award from the Kerala Government.Next year in 1982, he along with one of his friends produced another hit film 'Ormakkayi' which also received second Best Film Award from Kerala Government.Then he produced the  films 'Ilakkangal, and Lekhayude Maranam Oru Flashback'.Those films also earned much attention from viewers as well as critics.
When he used to  get lengthy, well noted supporting roles consecutively in the 80's he concentrated mainly in the  acting career rather than producing films.
In the film 'Kathodu Kathoram' directed by Bharathan in 1985 which was a super hit film his role as 'Rappayi' earned much attention.Mammootty and Saritha were the leading pair of that film.
  In the film 'Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam' directed by Sathyan Anthikkad in 1986, he portrayed Kunji Kannan Nair, who lent some money to the hero character 'Panikker'  of Mohanlal.Panikker wanted to give the money back and tries to sell his other house situated in the City and the consequences are the theme of the film.Mohan Lal,Karthika,Thilakan,M.G.Soman,KPAC Lalitha etc acted in that film.
In the film 'Mazhavil Kavady' directed by Sathyan Anthikkad he acted as 'Sankarankutty Menon', the maternal  Uncle of the hero character portrayed by Jayaram.This hilarious film earned much appreciation from the viewers and critics.Jayaram,Innocent,Urvashy,Sithara,Krishnankutty Nair,Mamukoya etc acted in it.
                           
He was the center figure of the films 'Gaja Kesari Yogam','Ramji Rao Speaking,Mannar Mathai Speaking,Dr.Pasupathy' etc. which were all entertainers with ample comedy scenes.
Innocent acted in almost all   the films directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and Priyadarshan.The  roles he handled in their films  are unforgettable also.
One of his excellent comedy roles was in the film 'No.20 Madras Mail' in which he acted as a railway Ticket Examiner and acted along with Mammootty and Mohan Lal.
His role as the baby sitter in the film 'Thooval Sparsam' in which he acted along with Jayaram,Mukesh,Sai Kumar and Suresh Gopi was very much liked by the audience.
                         
In the film 'Kilukkam' which was a blockbuster movie directed by Priyadarshan, Innocent acted as the servant of a retired Judge.Revathy making fun of him by telling that he got Lottery Prize and in that excitement the pranks performed by innocent created nice comedy.
In the blockbuster film 'Devasuram' he acted as 'Warrier', the caretaker of Mangalasseril Neelakantan (Mohan Lal) which was a serious role which he handled fantastically well.
                                
In the film 'Manichithra Thazhu' directed by Fazil, his character gets scared when went for supervising painting work being done in a big old  mansion and the consequences such as his wife trying to wear an amulet around his waist were superb comedy.KPAC Lalitha acted as his wife in this film.
In the film 'Godfather' his role as 'Swamynathan', the son of 'Anjooran' (N.N.Pillai) created much laughter when he pretended he was not Swaminathan to his father to hide the truth about his marriage   and at the same time earned the sympathy from the audience also.
In the film 'Midhunam' as the elder brother of Sethumadhavan (Mohan Lal) he was excellent and received much accolades and appreciation.
In the Film 'Hitler' he acted as Madhavankutty's (Mammootty) father.Sbobhana,Mukesh,Ilavarasi,Vani Viswanath,Jagadeesh etc acted in this blockbuster film.
                        
In the film 'Bus Conductor' directed by V.M.Vinu, his character 'Kunjakka' was responsible for solving the misunderstandings happened in the family and to regain the harmony.
In the film 'Rasathanthram'(2006) he acted excellently well as the master carpenter 'Manikantan Asary'.Mohan Lal and Meera Jssmine were the main leads.
                               
In the film 'Pappy Appacha' (2010) he acted as Mathai, the father of Pappi(Dileep).The movie  was directed by Mamas.
In the successful film 'Ennum Eppozhum' directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and released  in March 2015, Innocent depicted a Post Master, who is the neighbour of Deepa (Meera Jasmine).
There are numerous  other films in which he portrayed unforgettable roles like  'Vietnam Colony,Ravana Prabhu,Thalayana Manthram,Vadakku Nokki Yanthram,Keli,Vesham,Innathe Chintha Vishayam' and so on.
Innocent is recipient of Asianet Best Supporting actor Award in the year 2001,2004,2006 and 2008.He received Lifetime Achievement Award from Asianet Awards in the year 2013.He received Lifetime Achievement Award from 'TTK Prestige-Vanitha Awards in 2013.

Lalu Alex

                         
Lalu Alex is an exceptionally talented Malayalam film actor  who has played large number of supporting roles and character roles.He was born on November 30, 1954 at Moovattupuzha,Kerala in a respected Christian family and he is a graduate Degree holder.He was working for   a reputed firm when he got chance to act in a supporting role of the film 'Ee Ganam Marakkumo'(1978) in which he acted along with Prem Nazir, Sukumari etc.The film was a big hit which was directed by N.Sankaran Nair and he got more chances in films subsequently  and acted in films like 'Tharoo Oru Janmam Koodi' and so on.
Director I.V.Sasi cast him in his hit films of that period  like 'Ahimsa,Thusharam,Ee Nadu,Iniyenkilum,Thrishna,Kanamarayathu,Alkoottathil Thaniye' etc in which his roles were all highly praised and  appreciated.
Lalu Alex initially earned the admiration of the viewers by I.V.Sasi films 'Ee Nadu and Thrishna'.In the blockbuster film 'Ee Nadu' he portrayed an young I.P.S. Officer 'A.S.P.Alexander' which he presented fantastically well and received much accolades.In a scene in which the young officer explaining about  his action taken to control a riot was highly impressive to the audience  and his unique expressive, emotion filled way of dialogue presentation was noted from there on.
In the film 'Thrishna' which was scripted by M.T.Vasudevan Nair, Lalu Alex acted in supporting role as the character 'Ramakrishnan'.The film boosted the acting career of Mammooty also.Mammootty,Ratheesh,Rajyalakshmi,Swapna,Sankarady,Kaviyoor Ponnamma,Lalu Alex,Premji,Jose Prakash etc acted in it.
Later Lalu Alex  was also given villainous roles and villainous-character roles by eminent directors like 'I.V.Sasi,Joshi,K.Madhu' and many other directors  which were also presented brilliantly well by Lalu Alex.Apart from such roles he portrayed large number of dignified roles as 'Doctor,Priest,Police Commissioner,I.G.,D.I.G,Military Officers,Business men,Chief Minister,Advocate' and so on.

His ability to present characters with a comedy touch was revealed later on and the  second phase of his acting career was launched around the year 1999.He has acted in so many films in character roles with a comedy touch for the last fifteen years.
In the year 1999 the super hit film 'Niram' directed by Kamal was a film in which his character role as Dr.Sunny, the father of Kunchacko Boban's lead role ' Aby ' was liked by the audience.In some other films also Kunchacko Boban acted as his son.Their alliance as father and son suited nicely.
In the film 'Manju Poloru Penkutti' directed by Kamal in the year  2004, his role as the character 'Manuel' earned him Kerala Government Best Supporting  Actor Award.
He was impressive in the role as Chief Minister in the film 'Pathaka' directed by K.Madhu.Suresh Gopi,Devan,Sheela,Navya













Nair etc were the other main actors of this film.
In the blockbuster film 'Twenty 20' in which almost all leading actors acted, Lalu Alex played the role of DIG Krishnadas.
In the year 2009 Lalu Alex received accolades and appreciation for portraying the role of 'Aluva Chandi', a villainous character very nicely with ease in the film 'Ividam Swargamanu' and his  dialogue presentation and mannerisms  which suited best for that cunning character was well appreciated by critics and  viewers.Mohan Lal,Sreenivasan,Jagathy Sreekumar,Thilakan,Laxmi Rai,Lakshmi Gopalaswamy,Manian Pillai Raju etc were the other leading actors of this film.This film received Kerala Government Best Popular Film Award.
'Pattam Pole' was a well noted film in which Dulquer Salmaan,MalavikaMohan,Anoop Menon,Archana Kavi,Lalu Alex  etc acted in leading roles.
In the film 'How Old Are You' he acted as  I.G, and acted along with Manju Warrier,Kunchacko Boban,Kanika etc.
Lalu Alex is recipient of Asianet Film Award for Best Villain,Amritha Mathrubhumi Film Award,Kala Ratnam Award etc.

Kaveri (Kalyani)

                            
Kaveri (Kalyani) is a very popular South Indian Film actress who has acted in large number of Malayalam films,Tamil Films,Telugu Films and has also acted in a few Kannada films.She is known by the name 'Kaveri' in Malayalam but in Telugu she is known as 'Kalyani'.
Kaveri is born to Muralidharan at Kavumbhagam Thiruvalla,Kerala and  is the granddaughter of an yesteryear well known character actress of Malayalam film 'Pankajavally' and thus her acting talents are intrinsic.She entered Malayalam film by acting as a child artist in a film 'Ammanamkili'.Her role as a child artist in the super  hit film 'kakkothikavile Appooppan Thadikal' directed by Kamal was well noted which drew sympathy for that character by the audience.The little girl  was abducted by a beggar from the lawn of her house in that film.The mature part of that character was brilliantly handled by Revathy.Her elder sister's role was played by Ambika.
In the Mohan Lal starer super hit  film 'Sadayam'  she acted nicely as a child artist.The story and screenplay was by M.T.Vasudevan Nair and he received National award for screenplay.
From 1992 on wards Kaveri handled mature roles and acted in main roles and supporting roles of several films in Malayalam and Tamil.Her Malayalam films such as 'Champakkulam Thachan,Midhunam,Devaragam,Guru,Dada Saheb,Rajathanthram' etc were all well noted hit films.In Tamil her films such as 'Samudhiram,Kasi,Punnagai Poove,Kannadi Pookkal' and so on - all received accolades.
In the year 1998 her performance  in  one of the main female lead roles of the Malayalam  film 'Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum' directed by Vinayan was well appreciated.She acted as 'Lakshmi' in this film.This film was remade in Tamil by Sunitha Productions Aroma Mani and directed by Vinayan himself as 'Kasi'.Vikram was the hero of this film and Kaveri was one of the heroine.
In 1999 she acted in the Kannada movie 'Chaitrada Chigaru' which won State award as best movie of the year.
From around 2002 she aroused as a top heroine of Telugu films and acted in many hit films of that language with major hero actors.Kalyani received Nandi Award in 2002 for her performance as heroine in the Telugu film 'Avanu Vallidaru Ishtepaddaru' which was directed by Vamshi.Ravi Teja,Prasanna,Mallikarjuna Rao,Jeeva etc acted in it.
In 2003 she acted opposite Venu Thottempudi in the









film 'Pellentho Panenti' directed by S.V.Krishna Reddy.
In 2004 she acted in a bilingual film which was made in English and Malayalam simultaneously  in which R.Madhavan,Neha Pandse,Kaveri,Nasser and Sreenivasan acted in main roles.The film was released as 'Nothing but Life' in English and the  Malayalam version released as 'Made in U.S.A.' in the year 2006.It was dubbed into Tamil as 'Ananda Punnagai' and released in the year 2008.
In the   Telugu film 'Hope' which was released in the year 2006  Kalyani,Rama Naidu,Harnath etc acted in the main roles.Satish Kasetty directed the film.
In 2014 Sundeep Kishan,Regina Cassendra,Jagapathi babu,Kalyani,Ravi Babu  acted in main roles of the film 'Ra Ra... Krishnayya'.
In 2007 she acted along with Pritviraj,Kavya Madhavan,Jayasoorya,Lalu Alex etc in the Malayalam film 'Kangaroo' in supporting role as the character 'Nancy'.
In 2010 she acted in the Malayalam film 'April Fool' directed by Viji Thampi along with Mukesh,Siddique,Jagadish,Biju Menon etc.
In that year itself she appeared in a well noted role of the Malayalam film 'Janakan' in which she acted along with Mohan Lal,Suresh Gopi,Biju Menon,Priya Lal etc.

Jomol

                              
Jomol is a well known Malayalam actress who appeared as heroine and in supporting roles of large number of films from 1989 to 2003.She has also acted in a few Tamil films.She has also acted in a TV Serial.
Jomol was born on 4th October 1981 to K.A.John in  Thiruvambady of Kozhikodu District.
Her entry into films was in 1989 as a child artist depicting the young 'Unniyarcha' in the film 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragadha' directed by Hariharan.
In 1992 she acted as a child artist in the film 'My dear Muthachan' directed by Sathyan Anthikkad.Thilakan acted in the title role of this film and Baby Jomol,Baby Ranju and Master Tarun acted in lead roles  which received good response from the viewers and critics.
In 1998 she acted  as the girl friend of Unni (Dileep) in the blockbuster film 'Punjabi House' which was directed by Rafi Mecartin.
In the same year she acted in lead role opposite Kunchacko Boban in the film 'Mayilpeelikavu' directed by Anil Babu and was a hit film.
                    
In the year 1998 itself Jomol was the female lead actress of the film 'Ennu Swantham Janakikutty' directed by Hariharan.It was written by M.T.Vasudevan Nair and it was a super hit movie.Jomol acted as 'Janakikutty' fantastically well that at the National Awards, she received a special mention from the Jury.She received Best Actress Award from Kerala Government in 1998 for the performance in  the film 'Ennu Swantham Janakikutty'.
Jomol,Chanchal,Sharath,Anoop,RashmySoman,Chakyar Rajan,Valsala Menon etc acted in this film.
In the  hit film 'Sneham' directed by Jayaraj in 1998, Jomol, Jayaram .Kasthuri and Biju Menon were  in the leads  and the movie earned much critical acclaim.
                             
In the blockbuster film 'Niram' directed by Kamal in which Kunchacko Boban and Shalini acted as the lead pair, Jomol acted in supporting role as the close friend of Shalini.Shalini acted as the character 'Sona' and Jomol as 'Varsha' in this film.
Melevaryathe Malakhakuttikal was a well noted film directed by Thulasidas in 2000 in which Balachandra Menon,Geetha,Abhirami


















and Jomol acted in major roles.
In the super hit movie 'Arayannangalude Veedu' which was written and directed by A.K.Lohithadas in the year 2000, Mammootty and Lakshmy Gopalaswamy were the main pair.Jomol acted in this film in supporting role as the character 'Suja'.
'Snegithiye' was a Tamil film directed by Priyadarshan in the year 2000.Only female characters were in lead roles of this film in which Jomol appeared in a cameo role as the sister of one of the heroine 'Tabu'.The Malayalam version of this film was released after seven years only as 'Rakkilipattu'.
In the remake of Malayalam film 'Niram'  in Tamil as 'Piriyadha Varam   Vendum' directed by Kamal himself in 2001, Shalini was the heroine again in that version also and Jomol acted the same role as of 'Niram' in Malayalam.Prasanth was the hero of the Tamil version 'Piriyadha Varam Vendum'.
'Thilakam' was a Malayalam film directed by Sasi Mohan in 2002 in which Jagathy Sreekumar,Jagadish and Jomol acted in lead roles.
In the film 'Thillana Thillana' which was released in 2003, Jomol,Navas,Jagathy Sreekumar,Kaveri were in lead roles.The film was directed by T.S.Saji.
                        
Jomol married Chandrasekhara Pillai in 2003 and changed her name as Gouri.

T.P.Madhavan

T.P.Madhavan is a popular Malayalam film actor who is in the film field for the last four decades and has acted in more than 500 films.He portrayed Supporting roles,Villain roles and character roles mostly.He used to appear in dignified roles as the father,or maternal uncle to the hero and  heroine characters or roles such as Police Officers,Company Managers,Ministers and so on.He is also a good organizer and was the Secretary of Malayalam Movie Artists Association (AMMA) during the term 1994-1997 and also served as Joint Secretary during 2000-2006.He produced the Malayalam film 'Aana' along with its director P.Chandrakumar in 1983.
T.P.Madhavan is a Post graduate in Sociology and was born to parents N.P.Pillai and Saraswathi in Thiruvanathapuram.He worked at the office of a Newspaper published from Mumbai and later did certain small scale businesses before joining films as an artist.After acting in some films he took a break from films and  worked in Dubai for a couple of years.
His debut was in the Malayalam film 'Ragam' in 1975 which was directed by A.Bhim Singh.
                           
Then he acted in comedy love story films like 'Love letter' and 'Love Marriage' which were successful films.He role was as a Police Officer in the film Love Marriage which was directed by Hariharan.
He became familiar to all film goers by acting as an Office Manager in the blockbuster film 'Theekkanal' directed by actor Madhu in the year 1976.Madhu,Sree Vidya,Kanaka Durga,Vidhubala,Mohan Sharma,N.Govindan Kutty etc acted in it.
He acted along with the  mainstream hero actors of 70's and 80's like Prem Nazir,Sukumaran,M.G.Soman,Jayan,Vincent etc and later acted  along with actors like Mammootty,Mohan Lal and so on.He  has also acted along with many of the new generation actors as well.
He acted along with Kamal Hassan and Sree Devi  in the Malayalam super hit film 'Sathyavan Savithri'. He acted as the character 'Abdulla' along with Kamal Hassan and Rajanikanth in the super hit film 'Allavudeenum Alphutha Vilakkum' in the year 1979.
He was also  in the film 'Kolilakkam'(1981)  directed by P.N.Sundaram in  which the fatal helicopter accident happened for the Superstar Jayan.
In 1983 he along with P.Chandra Kumar produced the film 'Aana' which was directed by P.Chandra Kumar himself.Even though the film received good critical reviews it was not a success at the box office.
He acted as the Managing director of a firm in the blockbuster comedy film 'Nadodikattu' directed by Sathyan Anthikkad.Mohan Lal and Sreenivasan were in lead roles of this film.
He acted as Krishna Murthy's (Mohan Lal) Uncle in the super hit comedy film 'Vietnam Colony' directed by Siddique-Lal in 1992.
In the super hit film 'Lelam' directed by Joshy he acted along with Suresh Gopi,M.G.Soman,Siddique etc as Minister Balakrishnan.
In the 1998 film 'Ayal Kadha Ezhuthukayanu' directed by Kamal he acted as a Sub Inspector of Police.The main actors of this film were Mohan Lal,Sreenivasan and Nandini.
                      
In the blockbuster comedy film 'Friends' directed by Siddique in 1999 he acted in a well noted role along with Jayaram,Mukesh,Sreenivasan,Meena,Divya Unni,Cochin Haneefa,Jagathy Sreekumar and others.
In the 2001 super hit film 'Ravana Prabhu' directed by Ranjith which was a sequel to the film 'Devasuram' T.P.Madhavan acted as 'Nambiar' , father of the character Sreenivas(Siddique).
In the super hit film 'Raja Manikyam' in which Mammootty acted in the title role and received much accolades for his excellent acting skill, T.P.Madhavan depicted a College Principal.
In the 2007 film 'Mayavi' in which Mammootty and Gopika were the lead actors he acted as the 'Home Minister'.
In 2012 he acted along with Mohan Lal,Kaniha,Madhu etc in the super hit film 'Spririt' which was directed by Ranjith.
In the 2013 film 'Pigman' he acted as father to the heroine Ramya Nambeesan.Jaya Soorya was the hero of this film.
T.P.Madhavan was married to Sudha but they got divorced later.They have two children.
