RUPINI

Rupini( Roopini, Rubini) was active as heroine in south Indian languages Tamil,Malayalam,Telugu and Kannada during the period 87-96 and acted opposite Kamal Hassan,Rajanikanth,Vijaykanth,Sathyaraj,Mammootty,Mohanlal,Vishnuvardhan etc in several hit films.
Rupini was born in a Gujarati family of Mumbai and her father was a Lawyer and mother a doctor.Her original name is Komal Mahuvakar.She was spotted by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and she acted as a child artiste in his film  ' Mili' in 1975 and later acted in some other Hindi films in supporting roles.
She rose to fame in south India when she acted as heroine of Rajanikanth in the super hit film 'Manithan' in 1987 which was directed by S.P.Muthuraman.
Her role as 'Devaki', the heroine of the hit film 'Puthiya Vaanam' opposite Sathyaraj received accolades and she became a leading Tamil actress.
In the year 1988 Vijayakanth,Sarathkumar,Roopini and Ramyakrishnan were the lead actors of the Tamil film 'Captain Prabhakar' which was a big success.
In 1989 she acted opposite Kamal Hassan in the super hit film 'Apoorva Sahodharargal' as the ringmaster's daughter and rose to the heights of popularity.
Rupini and Sithara were the female leads of a blockbuster Malayalam film 'Naduvazhikal' directed by Joshi in 1989.Mohanlal was the male lead.
She acted opposite Mammootty in the super hit Malayalam film 'Midhya' directed by I.V.Sasi in 1990.
Jagadish,Siddiq,Parvathy and Rupini acted in main roles of 'Kunikkitta Kozhi' a Malayalam film in the year 1992.
Jayaram,Mukesh,Rohini and Rupini were the main actors of the Malayalam film 'Bandhukkal Sathrukkal' in 1993.
In the Tamil film 'Thalattu Paadava' (90) Parthiban,Rupini and Kushboo were the main actors.
She was the female lead of 'Olavina Aasare' a Kannada film directed by K.V.Jayaram and acted opposite Vishnuvardhan.
In the super hit blockbuster film 'Michael Madana Kamarajan' directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao Kamal Hassan was the male lead and Rupini,Kushboo,Urvashi  played female leads.
After her marriage with Mohankumar, Rupini quit films and settled in Mumbai.

SULAKSHANA



Sulakshana is a South Indian actress who was very much active during 80's and early 90's and acted as female lead of several films in Tamil,Malayalam,Kannada and Telugu languages.
She was heroine of 'Subhodayam', a well noted Telugu film directed by K.Viswanath in 1980 and  acted opposite Chandramohan in it.
Raj Kumar and Sulakshana were the main pair of 'Havina Hede' a  Kannada film directed by V.Somasekhar in 1981.
She acted opposite K.Bhagyaraj in the super hit Tamil film 'Thooral Ninnu Pochu' in 1982 which enhanced her career image.
In 1983 she acted in the blockbuster Tamil film 'Mridanga Chakravarthy' in which Shivaji Ganeshan,k.R.Vijaya,Prabhu and Sulakshana were the main actors.
In 1983 she was well appreciated for her Tamil film 'Aayiram Nilave Vaa' in which Kartik was the male lead and the film was directed by A.S.Prakasam.
She acted along with Rajanikanth in 1984 in the movie 'Thambikku Entha Ooru'.
In the super hit movie 'Sindhu Bhairavi' directed by K.Balachander Suhasini acted as 'Sindhu' and Sulakshana acted as 'Bhairavi'.Sivakumar acted as the main male character J.K.Balaganapathi.
She acted along with Mohan Lal and Mammootty in the Malayalam film 'Poomukhapadiyil Ninneyum Kathu' directed by Bhadran.
She acted as Jayakrishnan's (Mohan Lal) sister in the super hit film 'Thoovana Thumbikal' directed by P.Padmarajan.She also acted in P.Padmarajan's films like 'Moonnam Pakkam' and 'Njan Gandharvan'.
She took a long break from films but reappeared and acts in TV serials.

ROOPA AND SATHYAKALA

ROOPA
Roopa is a popular Tamil and Malayalam actress who was active during the 80's and was the heroine of several well noted films.
She rose to fame in 1980 when she acted as heroine of the blockbuster Tamil romantic film 'Oru Thalai Ragam' opposite Shankar.In the heartbreaking campus love story she acted as the character 'Subhadra' and Shankar as 'Raja'.
In the same year she acted in the Malayalam film 'Theekkadal' which was directed by Navodaya Appachan, and acted opposite Sukumaran.Nazeer,Madhu,Sreevidya etc also acted in that film.
'Ambalavilakku' directed by Sreekumaran Thampi in 80, Sneham Oru Pravaham directed by Dr.Shajahan in 81,Aambalpoovu directed by Harikumar in 81 were all popular Malayalam  films of Roopa.
'Kannerpookkal' directed by Rajasekhar in 81 was a nice Tamil film in which Vijayan,Supriya and Roopa acted in lead roles.
In 1983 she acted as the female lead of 'Pallankuzhi', a Malayalam film directed by M.N.Sreedharan  in which 'Kathaprasangam legend'(story narrator) V.Sambasivan acted in main role.

SATHYAKALA


Sathyakala is an actress who has acted in South Indian languages during late 70's and 80's in lead roles and supporting roles.
She acted opposite Prem Nazir in the Malayalam film 'Akrosam'(80) and 'Kari Puranda Jeevithangal(80),Opposite Mohanlal in 'Kaliamardhanam' and 'Uyarangalil(84),Mammootty in 'Saravarsham' and 'Amrithageetham'.She acted opposite Tamil actor/Director K.Bhagyaraj in the Tamil film 'Vidiyum vare Kathiru' in 1981.
Sathyakala left film field in 1984 and settled in Chennai.At present she is acting in Tamil serials.

SHUBHA AND RAJYALAKSHMI

SHUBHA

Shubha acted in all south Indian languages,Tamil,Telugu,Kannada,Malayalam and in a few Hindi films as well.She acted in several Malayalam films  in the late 70's and early 80's as heroine. She has acted as heroine in other languages also and later confined to supporting roles and character roles.
In the 1979 Malayalam film 'Kazhukan' she was the heroine and acted opposite Jayan.Jayan,Sukumaran,Shubha,Philomina,Bahadur,Sreelatha etc acted in this film which was directed by A.B.Raj.
Her Tamil film 'Raja Nagam'(74) opposite Srikanth,Idhayam Parkirathu(74) opposite Jaishankar,Mullum Malarum(78),Oru Veedu Oru Ulagam(78) etc were well noted.
Azhiyatha Kolangal(79) was another famous Tamil film of Shubha in which Kamal Hassan,Pratap Pothen and Shubha acted in Main roles.
In the Malayalam film Kochu Kochu Tettukal(80) directed by Mohan, Beena and Shubha acted in lead female roles.
In the Malayalam political film 'Ee Nadu' directed by I.V.Sasi, Shubha depicted an important character 'Sridevi'.Mammootty,Balan K.Nair,Ratheesh,Raveendran,Anjali Naidu,Krishna Chandran etc acted in it.
In the Malayalam film 'Lekhayude Maranam Oru Flashback she acted as Lekha's mother.The well noted film was directed by K.G.George.
She acted in Telugu films like 'Annamayya,O Seeta Katha,Jeevana Jyothi,Jyothi,Rustum,Sirivennila,Donga Kollu,Gharana Mogudu,Mechanic Alludu,Sarigamalu,Kabirdas etc.
In Kannada she acted in the film 'Nagara Haavu'

RAJYALAKSHMI

Rajyalakshmi who was born on December 18, 1964 at Tenali in Andhrapradesh acted in 'Sankarabharanam' which was a super hit Telugu film as the daughter 'Sarada' of the protagonist 'J.V.Somayajulu' who acted as 'Shankara Sastrikal' in the film.The film which was directed by K. Viswanath was dubbed and released in Kerala also and was a big success.The fifteen year old 'Rajyalakshmi' who acted opposite Chandramohan in Shankarabharanam  was very much liked by the audience and she received many other offers from all other south Indian languages thereafter  and could act as heroine opposite great actors like 'N.T.Rama Rao,Rajanikanth,Balakrishna,Nageswara Rao,Vishnuvardhan,Shankar,Mammootty,Mohanlal' etc.
She married Ramesh Krishnan and was staying in Singapore till 2005.Now she is settled in Chennai and appears in films and TV serials.
Some of her famous Telugu films are 'Shankarabharanam,Abhilasha,Rustum,Janani Janmabhoomi,Vaibhavamu Samsaram,Swarabhishekam' etc.
In Kannada she acted in 'Sahasa Simha'.
