Zaheeda Hussain, who  is popularly known as Zaheeda acted in a few Bollywood films out of which two are Dev Anand films in which she had important roles.
Zaheeda was born on Oct 9, 1944 in Mumbai as the daughter of film producer Akbar Hussain.Her aunt was film actress Nargis Dutt and uncle was actor Anwar hussain.
She was heroine opposite Sanjeev Kumar in the 1968 released film 'Anokhi Raat' which was directed by Asit Sen.The film depicted events which happened on a single night.
She acted in important roles of 'Prem Pujari' and 'Gambler' directed by Dev Anand.She also acted in a film 'Call Girl'.
Zaheeda appeared in 2002 TV serial 'Aamrapali'.


Zaheera acted in the film 'The Gambler' which was directed by Dev Anand in 1971 in which Dev Anand was the hero and Shatrughan Sinha,Jeevan etc acted.
She appeared in a major role of 'Anokha Daan' (72) in which Archana was the heroine.
She was the heroine of 1974 film 'Call Girl' which had a controversial theme.
In 1975 she acted in Rishi Kapoor-Neetu Singh film 'Zinda Dil' and portrayed the character 'Rekha'.

Zaheera was heroine of 1975 film 'Toofan aur Bijlee'.
In the film 'Taxi Taxie' Amol Palekar and Zaheera were the leading pair.
She was the female lead of 'Aadmi Sadak Ka' in which Shatrughan Sinha,Vikram and Deven Verma acted.
In the 1978 film 'Kaala Aadmi' she acted along with Sunil Dutt and Saira Banu.
She also acted in films like 'Mere Sartaj,Khuda Kasam,Naukri'  and in a few Punjabi films.
