SHASHIKALA, SULOCHANA LATKAR AND PEACE KANWAL

SHASHIKALA

Shashikala is renowned Bollywood actress in supporting roles from the  50's.
She was born in Sholapur,Maharashtra and the family later shifted to Mumbai.
She started her film career by acting in small insignificant roles and was well appreciated  for  Bimal Roy's  hit film 'Sujata' of 1959 in which she had a major role.In 1962 she got accolades for her role in 'Arati' in which Meena Kumari,Ashok Kumar and Pradeep Kumar were the main stars.For her performance in this film she received Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.
Shashikala was selected again in 1963 by Filmfare for Best Supporting Actress Award for her nice performance in the film 'Gumrah'.Sunil Dutt,Ashok Kumar,and Mala Sinha were the main actors of 'Gumrah' which was directed by B.R.Chopra.

Kamini Koushal- Dilip Kumar starer 'Arzoo',Shammi Kapoor-Saira Banu starer 'Junglee(1961),Rajendra Kumar-Saira Banu starer 'Aye Milan Ki Bela'(1964),Yash Chopra's 'Waqt'(65),Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 'Anupama(66),O.P.Ralhan's 'Phool Aur Pathar' etc were all hit  films for which she got accolades.
In 2001 she got appreciation for her performance in the film 'Kabi Khushi Kabhie Gham'.

SULOCHANA LATKAR


Sulochana Latkar mostly known as Sulochana is well known Marathi and Hindi actress in supporting roles.She was born on 30 July 1928.She is acting mainly in Marathi films and has acted in more than 250 films in that language.
In Hindi cinema she performed mostly mother roles and films like 'Dil Dekhe Dekho(59),Bandini(63),Devar(66),Sunghursh(68),Aadmi(68),Kati Patang(70)Kala Dhanda Goray Log(86) etc are some of her acclaimed  films.

PEACE KANWAL




She was born in Amritsar and was first year Medical Student at Ludhiana Medical College when she got offer to act in a film.She contested a talent test conducted by 'Kolynos' and was the winner and thus paved way to film entry.Kardar's Dil-E-Nadan was her first film in which Talat Mehmood was in the male lead role.Next film was 'Barati' which was directed by J.K.Nanda in which 'Agha' was the hero.
She later accepted supporting roles and acted in films like 'Barsat Ki Raat,Arati,Chambal Ki Kasam' etc.
