Amala has acted as heroine in  many films of all South Indian languages such as Tamil,Telugu,Kannada,Malayalam  and also in Hindi from the period from 1986 to 1992.She proved herself as an exceptionally talented actress so energetic and brilliant.Amala married Telugu superstar Nagarjuna in 1992 and did not appear in films for a long span of twenty years but came back in 2012 with a bang.
Amala was born as 'Amala Mukherjee' on September 12, 1968 in West Bengal.She entered films by acting in the Tamil movie 'Mythili Ennai Kadhali' directed by T.Rajender in 1986.Films like 'Kodai Mazhai and Melle Thirandhathu Kathavu' boosted her name and fame. Then followed other hits like Vettaikkaran,Vedam Puthithu,Agni Natchithiram etc.The mute film without any dialogues 'Pushpak' which ran all over India in packed houses revealed her acting skills extensively  and received accolades in 1988.In 1988 itself she acted in Hindi films 'Dayavan' and 'Kab Tak Chupke Rahungi'.

In 1989 she acted opposite Mithun Chakraborthy in the film 'Dost' and in the film 'Jurrat' she acted opposite Kumar Gaurav.
In 1991 she acted in the Malayalam film 'Ente Sooryaputhrikku'  with co- stars 
Suresh Gopi, Sreevidya etc and it was directed by Fazil.It was a super hit film.
Another film 'Ulladakkam' which was directed by Kamal earned her 'Filmfare' award.
In Telugu and Kannada also she acted in many films during this period.In the South Indian languages she acted with Superstars Kamal Hassan,Rajani Kanth,Prabhu,Mohan,Chiranjeevi,Nagarjuna,Venkatesh,Mammootty,Mohan

Lal,Suresh Gopi etc and in Hindi films she acted with Mithun Chakraborthy,Adithya Pancholi,Vinod khanna etc.
She married Telugu film actor 'Nagarjuna Rao Akkineni' in 1992 and settled at Hyderabad.She is an active Animal welfare activist and promotes communal harmony.She is a 'Vegan' , environmentalist and  'Yoga teacher' for women also.
Amala came back to films by acting in the Telugu film 'Life is  Beautiful' in 2012.She got CineMAA award for Best Outstanding actress in 2013 for the film 'Life is Beautiful'.Filmfare south award for Best supporting actress was also given to her for this film.She was recipient of South Filmfare award as Best actress for Malayalam film 'Ulladakkam' in 1989.
In 2013 Amala acted in the Bollywood film 'Listen...Amaya' directed by Avinash Kumar Singh and acted along with Farooq Shaikh,Deepti Naval, Swara Bhaskar etc.

Sudha Chandran, got popularized as 'Mayuri' since her Hindi film 'Nache Mayuri' became a super hit in 1986.That film ran all over the country in packed houses.
Sudha Chandran was born on 21 September 1964 and had studied up to M.A. from Mumbai.While on a pilgrimage trip to the South, she met with an accident at Trichi, in Tamil Nadu.Her right leg had to be amputated due to infection while treatment.It was a crucial fate for the young girl who was a well talented dancer.
Sudha Chandran was not ready to give up but overcame her disability with the aid of an artificial foot known as 'Jaipur foot'.The girl gathered enough guts and determined to go ahead with her dancing also.Ignoring the pain on her leg  she performed dance programs on stags all over India and abroad.She performed dances on stages at Europe,Canada and Middle East.
The 1984 Telugu film 'Mayuri' in which she plays herself became a super hit and it was remade to Hindi as 'Nache Mayuri' in 1986 and she got praise and accolades from millions of viewers.There after 'Mayuri' acted in several Bollywood films,and in many other languages like Tamil,Telugu,Kannada and Malayalam.
Sudha Chandran is a regular actor in T.V.Serials on popular channels like DD,DD Metro,Sun TV,Star Plus,Zee TV,Sony TV,Sahara One,Surya TV,Amritha TV,Asianet etc.
